Again I am humbled. My sister brought back a poppy seed-covered braided loaf from Germany, and it is incredible. It's light and soft, yet still springy. And just perfect. That's all it is–perfect. Mine are all dense (though that's because of the flour I'm using) and none of them are ever the same as the last. Maybe someday I can make something like this German loaf...
