I'm sitting here eating eggs, lightly scrambled with salt, pepper, and (of course) cheddar cheese wondering why life has to be so complicated. Why our phones have to do fifty different things. Why cars come with a hundred different options. Why we feel that we need complexity and unending selection and that if it's so simple we can understand it, well, then it's just not fancy enough. You know what, these eggs are
downright delicious, and they only have four ingredients. And the only reason I felt the cheddar should be in them is because I LOVE CHEDDAR. The skillet was made of one metal–cast iron–and that skillet works wonders. If I had orange juice (I am missing it terribly right now), it would be made out of one thing–oranges. It wouldn't have a bunch of other stuff added to it, and it too would be delicious.
I have come to realize that I am a huge fan of simplicity. I like simple food, computers, paintings, you name it. Just take all that unnecessary stuff out of my stuff.
I'll have to write about that more, but it's late and I'm tired after my ride on my brakeless fixie. Which is oh-so-satisfyingly simple.
